Connecting Families is a parent and child program offered by Family Service Toronto's Counselling Service to families living in communities across the City of Toronto. Based on the COPE model, which focuses on working with both parents and children, Connecting Families works to help parents encourage positive behaviours in their children and to improve parent-child relationships.

Connecting Families is unique in its structure, which has two groups running concurrently - one for parents and one for their children ages 4-10. Both groups reinforce skills building, such as increasing positive behaviours, co-operation and mutual understanding; avoiding conflicts; healthy communication, problem-solving and stress management.

Gardagens session var sa himla bra, jag kande mig valdigt behovd och alla deltagare ar valdigt valkomnande och jag far ta egna initiativ sa mycket jag bara kan och vill.. Det ar verkligen toppen!
